More New Audio files...

Hey everyone. I am loading the new audio for the last Med Surg lecture as well as the Peds lecture. Hope it helps everyone.

On another note, I can not believe how fast this semester is flying by. It's already just about November, only a little over a month until finals. Crazy. Then here comes fourth semester... even crazier. It will be interesting how the new curriculum goes with geriatrics in fourth. I wonder where the clinical sites will be? Anyone excited? I can't wait.

Study hard everyone.

For bonus points, see if you can guess who it is in the picture... Happy Halloween!

(Small update, be sure to notice that on the page with all the audio files that there is now 2 pages of them on MediaFire... The latest Peds lecture is on page 2)

(Smaller update: The answer to who I am dressed as is in the comments...)

New Lecture Audio!

Hey everyone! I hope you all did alright on this last peds test, I did ok. Congrats to everyone who pulled out A's, good job! Wow this semester is flying by. I just got my peds community service done, now all I have left is Medsurg's. Shouldn't be to hard, I just need to find the time to actually go give blood. Finding time for anything at all would be nice right now...

I did try "Mead" for the first time, its a wine made with honey. Very good. Especially served warm with spice. Tastes like a sweet cider. Im definetly going to pick some up for the cold winter nights. It will be awesome at christmas too. Thanks for the recommendation (you know who you are). Btw, if anyone has any questions or comments about the lectures or things I could do with this space, be sure to post in the comments. You don't need a login so go right ahead. Laters everyone. Stay strong. Stay steady.

Get Ready to Rumble...

So I am uploading the new peds lecture. It is the last lecture before exam 4 and covers the bulk of material that will be on the test. I really need to get an awesome grade on this one. I plan on really studying hard this week. It seems to me that a lot of questions are going to focus on nursing managment of the discussed diseases and "what would you do first" style questions. If anyone has any study stategies that are working, any study guides, or practice questions they want to share let me know. I think we all need to do well on this one. Good luck studying this week everyone!

Choose all that apply.

Wow, that was quite a MedSurg test. I think I did alright, but you never know in 3rd semester. Anyone have any thoughts about this last exam? Also, I just posted the newest MedSurg lecture in the Audio link. If anyone has any problems with it email me.

Ouch.

So I totally screwed up this last Peds test. What happened? I thought I was prepared, I thought I knew the material, but I guess I didn't. I missed some key phrases on a few questions and misinterpreted others. I think I went through it way to fast and too nervous. I have to do better on the next one. I was hoping to pass this class with an A, but I may just have to settle for just passing. Crap. I have to admit, its a hard pill to swallow for me. I have never worked so hard in my life at anything, or wanted anything so badly. My new strategy has to incorporate more situational questions, with a focus on priority nursing interventions. I also think I need to pray about these tests more. I am feeling more and more like the study material I am using is not relating to the tests. I know no one is probably reading this, but if you are and are getting some good grades in Peds, share some strategies. Oh, and I just uploaded the new lectures on MediaFire. Check the link on the right. Laters!

Do I really have time for this?

Hey everyone, this is my first feeble attempt at creating something to better disseminate information throughout our class. I will see how it goes and who wants to contribute some information. I can link to all my lecture downloads, maybe post some past careplans, and generally just talk about stuff. Maybe this can be a good thing... I will keep working on it. Thanks.
